At first glance, Luleå might not seem to be all that strategically located. But if you take a closer look, with a slightly different perspective, you’ll start seeing things differently. Our shipping port and the railway network have been key to the region’s infrastructure since the beginning of the iron ore success in the beginning of 1900. On the way is also one of Sweden’s largest infrastructure investments focusing on increased sea freight capacity.

The just over one-hour flight to Stockholm is also one of the most frequented domestically. At the same time as the rest of Europe is rather close, the Arctic part of the world is our backyard. Together with our neighbours in northern Norway and Finland we are leading the conversation on sustainability and utilizing our natural climate to drive new solutions. This is where you find clean energy, minerals and forests. An abundance of clean water and vast areas of land. One might even claim that here you are a bit closer to the future.
